From another source, I received half a dozen skeins of silk to dye: yes, pure silk (on the left in the photo). Are you drooling yet?
This week, I am going to try something a little different with the Etsy shop. Instead of putting a few things up in dribs and drabs, I'm going to put a whole bunch of stuff up in one whack, and list the day and time on the announcement box of the shop (next update is Thursday (tonight) around 7 p.m. EST). I often get emails from folks asking when I am going to update, so maybe this system will be easier. Shoot me an email if you have any strong feelings about it.
Now on to the really exciting stuff.
First, a pattern of mine has been accepted into the spring Knitty. Yay Knitty! Yay lovely and charming Amy Singer, fellow bunny-lover!
Second: [drumroll please]
A book contract.

First best wishes on your book contract. It sounds wonderful. Secondly, do you do custom dyeing? If so could we talk off line. I have silk and wool and silk and cashmere yarn in natural that I would like to get dyed.

Wow! Congratulations on the book deal. Just to warn you, it will be tough (this past semester I wrote a 20 page research paper in history and though history and knitting don't have much in common, the work that it takes to produce something from them is the same).
I don't comment much in blogs, especially not the "me too" type of comment. But I just have to say, damn, good for you on the book contract. I'm so excited for you. How odd is that - I've never met you and I feel so proud of your accomplishment. A big round of applause for the Carol.
