KSF Blog Tour Day 4: Kat Coyle

It's particularly fun for me when I get a chance to meet a designer whose work I have admired from afar. Kat Coyle has lovely designs that are often featured in Interweave Knits and KnitScene, and she also has a highly adorable book of kids' knits, called Boho Baby Knits: Groovy Patterns for Cool Tots that was released last fall. Today, Laura is going to chat with Kat on Kat's blog so let's go see what's happening there!

  1. Your blog book tour is so neat. I thought of you today. I got to meet Sen. Barack Obama. He actually came to my local area to kick off his Presidential campaign. And I want you to know that even though it was 94 degrees, I wore my Audacity socks with my Crocs and told everyone standing in the line waiting near us about you custom dyeing this yarn just to help the campaign. And what all the colors signified. It took perservance (and perspiration-good to know you set those colors really well! Wool socks and 94 degree weather are a challenge) but I got a seat in the 3rd row, on the floor, with a great view, actually got a Secret Service guy to smile (wow, they really are just like on TV-totally expressionless) and got to shake Sen. Obama's hand. Yes, I have photos, once I figure out how to get them off the new camera and post them on my sadly neglected blog. And because I thought of you so much while I was at the Town Hall meeting, I capped the day off by stopping and buying your book. What a great day.
