I saw both of those and gaped. The knitted bra also stressed that she did want something that could stretch, not something that would be snug against her sensitive skin. No way would that work for me!
Huh?!?!?!
If I had a headstone like some of the ones I saw in the cemetery where both of my grandparents were buried this year--I'd want to cover it up too!
Actually, I think head and mouth cozies to cover up the people at the funeral would be much more practical. (snark, snark)
If I were to die tomorrow, I think I would want something knitted incorporated into my headstone, knitted by my friends.
But a knitted bra? I'm itching just thinking about it.
WTF?????
And again, a demonstration of why I stay off the main boards.
Now if you are going to knit a bra, do a good job of it. I mean, if you need a bra, then you need some of the engineering that went into the Golden Gate Bridge.
Hemp...at a very high tpi. The more you wash it, the softer it will get. And it will HOLD them puppies!
Since I don't beleive we need gravestones in the first place (we scatter the ashes in my family) I just don't feel qualified to comment...though fun fur does come to mind. In variegated colours.
Hmm... I had a crocheted bikini once, but I was much younger then, and I'm what you could politely call petite up top. My well-endowed friend bought one at the same booth and the effect was... startling? impressive? alarming?
As for the headstone cozy... wouldn't it get wet and moldy? Or are you supposed to make it out of something like plastic twine? *puzzled*
Like rana (above), I crocheted a bikini top out of crochet cotton when I was in high school. It was fine, if a little skimpy for my taste. (It covered me fine - I was just VERY modest.)
I also didn't need much support. No way I'd make one now with out LOTS of structure and elastic
/runs off to Ravelry to look at what I missed/

I love your ravelry moments. My ravelry addiction is dying down, which makes me enjoy your moments even more. thank goodness I found my facebook addiction. but now that's dying down too. Perhaps that's why I've come back to the wit and substance of your blog. : )
