to direct your knitterly (and crochetyerly) attention to Knit1 magazine, which apparently has had something of a facelift. Go here and see if you don't agree that this is looking far, far more interesting than the Lemonhead...
(That Trisha Malcolm. She is just too effing much.)

As are Tanis Gray and Faith Hale, the new editors.
I see a giant cabled beret that I MUST have!
The preview looks great, but I'm a little sad to see all the wonky craziness that used to be Knit.1 get shelved. Most of those designs are lovely, but some of them would look more in place in IK. I'll have to wait to see the magazine to judge, but I'll be disappointed if Knit.1 strays too far from the original concept of uber-trendy designs marketed to young knitters.
Thank GOD. Outlandish has never been my cup of tea. Remember the knitted shortie overalls? Uh huh.
There looks to be some promising content in there, I'll have to pick it up when I stop by the bookstore next.
Hey now. There are some really lovely (yet still interesting and fun) designs in there. I quite like some of the sweaters!
Off to Fog City News to grab it!
Yup, gotta get that. Saw lots of stuff I'll queue- but did you see the little snake??? Too cute.
Thank you for showing me this. I had given up on ever seeing good things from this mag.
The styling (like the Lemon Head makeup and hair color/style) was always crazy, but I liked many of the K1 patterns very much. I hope they continue to have hip, young (I have teens to knit for!), and interesting uses of simply skills like i-cord that I had come to rely on.
If it ends up to IK, I won't buy both....
Thanks! I would not have seen it otherwise and I do like a few patterns in there. MUCH better than the Winter IK, which I sadly have a subscription to. But I think it'll be my last. I'm liking VK though.
