I've never been so happy about an election - or so excited about the prospects for our country's future.
We cheered, and we don't even live down there! (Threw our toques in the air and everything)
When they called Pennsylvania for Obama last night, I said to the assembled: "My friend Carol did that."
WoooooHoooo! This is an amazing day. I am so happy to have been wrong about America! I never expected him to be able to win, despite his being the best candidate we have had in years!

In my heart today I'm singing a mash up of the Hallelujia Chorus, the Battle Hymn of the Republic, This Land is Your Land, and most any Bruce Springsteen I can think of.
I don't know that I have ever given voice to being proud of my country before. But, the way we worked together for hope and change is simply awe inspiring. It took me all morning to even attempt to put it into words for my blog. It's such a joyous day for us all.

my neighbors went out and bought a flag yesterday and put it in their front yard. they said they didn't want to fly it for the past 8 years; but they now feel like this is their country again.
WE TOOK OUR COUNTRY BACK! NOW LET'S MAKE IT BETTER FOR EVERYONE!
I'm so proud of what America has done in choosing our new president.
