I'm going to be a little bitter here and remark that it ticks me off that stuff like this dress - which is unwearable by nearly any woman but "edgy" gets all kinds of press time on various craft sites, but the lovely intricate stuff that so many people do - lace shawls, cabled sweaters -tend to get ignored.

They take equal (at least) skill, but I presume because the lace or cables are "traditional" they are seen as boring and not-worthy of mention.
