I must go back and read the entire thread to see who else has been considering the ingenuity of combining this chapstick cosy (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/knit-penis-chapstick-holder) with the tampon.

Hemp?! Seriously?!
A friend of mine in NC once commented that he'd never worn a hemp shirt that didn't chafe the hell out of his nipples. Imagine shoving that in your coochie.
Of course, one wonders how it measures up against the Moon Cup. If they say it's good for fertilizing your plants (seriously - earnestly, even - in the testimonials), who am I to argue?
I saw this earlier in this morning and just had to shake my head.
I've been known to recycle kleenex that have been found crumpled and unused in pockets, and I washed diapers, but knitting tampons is too ridiculous.

I was intentionally avoiding even looking in that thread. Well, now I've looked. But not for long. I didn't even finish p. 1 before I clicked away.
Now, I'm thinking about something kind of equivalent to carbon offsets, like landfill offsets, for those of us who have a fondness for certain disposable items. How much does it cost to alleviate guilt?
Guess I'm not that 'green' or left wing or crunchy granola as I thought. Just say no.
There's a lot to be said for menopause.

I am all for cloth diapers, fem pro and other washable/reusable items of that nature.
But I am not going to spend my crafty time making them by hand and that's that.

Yeah, I saw the topic heading on Rav and my only reaction was "oh dear."
(I'm even afraid to read the topic, knowing where things on the Big Six boards can go, and fast)
I'm all for being green but I draw the line somewhere.
Today is a day I bless my IUD and the lack of periods it bestows upon me. Also the lack of babies. Not that babies aren't nice and all, but they will smell of sick.
Also, my verification word is "unmas." As in "one more." As in, once again I thank the PTB's for my IUD. Amen.
Some things are better left unknitted.
I enjoy knitting, but not everything needs to be knitted.
Do you have to block them before using? I envision delicate lace along... never mind.
