Surprise!

Today, I found a mysterious parcel in the screen door. When I opened it, inside was this:

And on the other side was this:

A belated birthday present from Franklin. God, I love him.

And Dolores.

Here's one of the new laceweight yarns listed on Etsy:

2400 yards that's just begging to be made into a shawl... More to be listed in the coming days.

That laceweight is gorgeous. Was it not that long ago when you first began dyeing?

Wicked fine and beautiful, girly.
Does Mar expect me to beg for it?
I don't want to disappoint her.

Wow, I am very impressed by your skills with your yarn offerings. Each one you post gets better and better...

Nice job...

What with the exchange rate going down the toilet and the stash taking over the world already, I should be glad you only mail to the U.S. Otherwise that laceweight would definitely be heading downunder!

For the record, I will happily mail to anywhere if you are willing to pay the postage costs. You can email me privately. I just can't calculate a one-size-fits-all postage amount for purposes of the Etsy site, which asks for one amount for international shipping (I'd rather just charge people actual postage). Some skeins are harder to let go of than others, and the blue laceweight is definitely one of them. But then I've gotten a lovely email from Leila, who bought the 1st purple roving, and it was so exciting to see how beautifully she spun it up (esp since I'm such a newbie spinner) that I was happy it went to a good home. So I'm sure if I saw it knit up into a gorgeous shawl, I'd feel very happy.

Will you STOP already!!!!! I'm going to try to be strong (don't know how long that will last) and I suppose as long as you don't come up with a laceweight in a soft silvery sagey green I'll be okay. (are you checking your dyes, yet?)

Love the mug. I've just started reading the saga of Delores- what a hoot. I'm wondering if she will make it to MD... Now if I get that, add in the F Off mug and I'm on my way to a great mug collection. (does that make it mug stash?)

Hi Carol,

I'm glad it was a nice generous 4oz of the purple stuff, because I just don't want to spin anything else. Time runs away from me when I sit down and start working with it. I can't get over the niceness of your dyeing...the colors are so rich and even throughout the fiber. Heh...are you sure you haven't already been doing this for years?

Definitely one satisfied customer here (I know I'm gushing, but it's earned). Looking forward to more of your goods in the near future.

Dolores says she loves you, too, and reminds you that she swings both ways.

My feelings, of course, you already know.

Oh Mindy, guess what I'm skeining up today? A small batch of laceweight in soft silvery green...

Franklin knows that if I weren't married, I'd be pregnant with his love child.

And tell Dolores we have to go on the down low: I live in Rick Santorum's district and I don't want to distress him with references to Woman-On-Sheep Love.

What are you doing to me??????

Oh man, I am SO jealous that you have a Dolores mug already; I am still waiting for mine to arrive...

Are you going to sell any thicker yarn on your store site (like a sport weight or a worsted weight)? I must confess I am neither a lace nor a sock knitter.

Great birthday present from that wonderful Franklin (and aren't we all we just too in love with him?)!
