Happy 9th birthday, Elvis!

No, not that Elvis. Our oldest kid, whom we affectionately call "Elvis." (Because he thinks he's the King.) It was nine years ago, on just such a freakishly warm January day, that he was born.

Happy b'day, Elvis! That might be the picture with which to torment him when he brings his prom date home to meet the 'rents.

Yo, J.
You are about to enter a stage of life where the veil lifts and you recognize your mom for the dork she is.
Don't be afraid--her cooler persona will return--in about eight years.

For now, be kind when you can and have a great birthday!

I thought the real Elvis died in August. Or is that just the date when he crapped himself a heart attack?

(studiously ignoring Kathy, who sees through me to my very soul)

As Mel Brooks said in The History of the World Part 1, "It's good to be the king." Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday and all Hail the King! I always think the baby pics show what they'll be like once they pass through all the goofy stages they go through. Looks like a keeper to me!

I'm glad it's freakishly warm somewhere. A 70km wind and well well below freezing here. I keep hearing about this warm winter...I wish it would visit me for a day or two!
